Comprehensive Behavioral Support

Dana Wachter, RN, CBIT-Certified Provider

Dana Wachter is a Registered Nurse and Certified Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) provider with more than a decade of experience supporting children and adolescents with Tourette Syndrome and co-occurring conditions, including ADHD, OCD, anxiety disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other neurodevelopmental challenges.

Throughout her career, she has worked closely with children, families, educators, and healthcare professionals to promote understanding, acceptance, and evidence-based approaches to managing involuntary behaviors. Her passion lies in helping others recognize the difference between behaviors that are willful and those that are neurologically driven, reducing stigma and fostering more supportive environments for children with special needs.

Dana has been featured in USA Today and appeared on TLC's reality series Baylen Out Loud, which follows Baylen Dupree, a young woman living with Tourette Syndrome. Through these opportunities, she has helped raise public awareness about tic disorders and the daily challenges faced by individuals and families affected by them.

She also collaborates with researchers at the Center for Autism Research (CAR) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), contributing to efforts that advance understanding of involuntary behaviors and neurodevelopmental conditions.

As an advocate and educator, Dana is committed to bringing awareness and practical education to schools, parent organizations, and professional communities. Her goal is to speak at schools, SEPTA meetings, superintendent conferences, educational forums, and professional development events to help educators, administrators, and families better understand Tourette Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other conditions where involuntary behaviors are prevalent. Through these presentations, she aims to provide actionable strategies, promote inclusion, and create environments where children are supported, understood, and empowered to succeed.

Her mission is simple: to increase awareness, replace misconceptions with knowledge, and ensure that every child is met with understanding, compassion, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.product or service you'd like to show.
